Within the European meat-processing industry, the method of boning and primal cuts has been standardised to a large extent. The Voorlichtingsbureau Vlees (Meat Information Office) has set out this standard in the Dutch Book of Cuts. This forms the basis for the DCA standard programme.

At our customers’ request, it is always possible to depart from this standard; not only in terms of the cuts but also the packaging method and contents of boxes. We have also found that in addition to the product and the packaging, the labelling of products is becoming increasingly important. In addition to the legal requirements, customer requests for different labels, such as bar coding, are becoming ever more frequent. With this in mind, we have also adapted our automation system in 2012 to meet these requirements. There are several customers for whom we have been packaging our products under Private Label for more than 12 years.
